The following took place while reading Emilie's school book to her this evening on Harriet Tubman:
"Emilie, do you know anyone named Harriet?"
"No."
"Great-Grandma Schut's name is Harriet."
"Oh. I didn't know that!" A very short time later while still reading the book, she continues: "How old is Grandma?"
"92."
"No, I meant Great-Grandma."
Dad and I got a pretty good laugh at that one over the phone!
Can I just say that, as much work as it can be, I really, really enjoy homeschooling!!! I'll cherish these moments forever and probably won't even remember the fact that the house wasn't near as clean as I would've liked it to be!
