Paneling...ick.
Where Dad removed the two posts that would've made the room feel A LOT less open if they had stayed. He said he thinks he's pretty sure the house won't cave in without them. :)
Some of the studs up -- the hallway back to the bathroom and the paneling that was on the staircase removed to make it open on that side.
