Easter

Baby Ethan Comes to Visit (and his parents, too!)

The kids were so excited for their cousin Ethan to come visit over Easter. Even Nathan would ask, "Where's the baby?" or "Where's Ethan?" which surprised me because I thought he wouldn't really care much about the baby. Bekah, on the other hand, didn't surprise me. She couldn't get enough of that kid! Uncle Kenny was a huge hit as well (and was probably more than a little relieved to go home)!

The Great Juice Mystery

Bekah, on the mystery of how more juice got in her cup this afternoon: "Mommy, did you put more juice in my cup?"

Me: "No."

Bekah: "Emilie, did you?"

Emilie: "No."

Bekah: (with a chuckle) "That's funny. It must've been myself!"

Math

Emilie, on seeing a limo the other day while we were out for a bike ride: "Wow! I haven't seen one of those since 40 years!"

Me: "Oh, yeah? Just how old were you 40 years ago?"

Emilie: "Like 5 or 6."

I guess she's not getting her math as well as I thought she was! ;)

Oh so sleepy...

You know a 21 month old isn't feeling the greatest when he falls asleep snuggling up to his 6 year old sister! This kid is normally way too busy for even a quick hug!

Bekah Telling Time

The coversation upon Bekah's third venturing from her bedroom before 6:45 this morning...

Me: Bekah, does your clock say 7 o'clock? (She had been told she could come out at that time.)

Bekah: I don't know. (Very sweetly and hopefully) Does yours?

Ahhh...Kids are just plain funny!!!

Emilie's Necessary Haircut

A few weeks back, Emilie was combing her hair down in front of her eyes when she decided to wrap the comb around her bangs...where it got completely stuck. So I took her to Cost Cutters to get a "trim" that included bangs (she was thrilled!). The other pictures are from a science experiment day with the Finley family, but were about the only pictures I had showing Emilie's new haircut.
