A Repeat

I know I've posted on this before, but in case you were wondering if Nathan still climbs in Sam's crib with him...here's your answer. (And no, he doesn't get to stay there when discovered.)

The Art of Distraction

"Keep watching that camera, sweet cakes."
"A little to the left."
"Noooo...Your other left."
Victory!

Don't try this at home

Just cute pictures of Sam in the driver's seat. Good thing he can't reach the pedal. :)

The Ducks

"Daddy's such a quick learner!"
"Daddy, did you bring my trunks?"

"Feeling a little groggy..."
And he's out like a light (drool and all)!

While Sam was not too keen on the boat tour we had done earlier in the day, he LOVED The Ducks (WWII era land/water vehicles)! I was pretty surprised, especially since they're a bit of a rough ride. Obviously not rough enough to disrupt sleep!!

While waiting for apple crisp...

We stopped at a local Apple Orchard on our way home from a friend's house this afternoon and I decided late this evening (like 9pm) to make an apple crisp (I'll thank Julie for that idea being in my head -- she mentioned how she was getting excited for fall and doing things like this). It takes an hour to bake. So...while I was wating, I figured it might be a good time to catch up on this ol' thing!

Let's see...where did I leave off? I guess it's all the way back to that long-ago time called June. The weekend after Sam's birthday party was our anniversary and Mom and Dad took us to the Dells. We stayed in a nice little hotel close to the strip and spent one whole day doing the boat tours (the Ducks and the Upper Dells Boat Tour). We also spent some time at the water park with just us (Brad and I) and the girls (sorry -- no pictures from that. Next time we'll have to bring a camera-man. Just know that Bekah had a BLAST, but Emilie was a little more than sensibly cautious.) :)
The first boat tour (the one the pictures above are from) was w-a-r-m. But then Brad and I did have the top deck and Sam was a bit of a wriggle worm on my lap, helping to keep me nice and toasty. :) The trip included a stop at the "Witches Gulch" -- a very narrow and much cooler wooden walk-way that led to a tourist trap (isn't that mostly what all of the Dells is?). We really had a great time!!
